Next, if necessary, remaining teeth will be extracted. This is followed by an impression of your gums, so the dentures are designed around them.
In some cases, "immediate dentures" are possible, whereby teeth are extracted and dentures placed the same day. These "immediate" dentures are usually intermediate appliances that allow patients to have a full mouth of teeth while waiting for their final restoration.
